What Typesheep does

Typesheep converts a manuscript you upload (.docx, .odt, or .md) into print-ready PDF and EPUB files for Amazon KDP, checks them against KDP's published requirements, and issues a preflight report. You preview the result free; downloading the full, unwatermarked files requires a one-time purchase per book. Typesheep is operated from Spain and is reachable at hello@typesheep.com.

Your manuscript stays yours

You keep every right to your manuscript and to the files we produce from it. By uploading, you grant us only the limited licence needed to run the service: storing the file, converting it, rendering previews, and running automated checks (including AI-assisted checks) on it. We do not use your manuscript to train AI models, and we never publish, sell, or share its content.

You confirm you hold the rights to any manuscript you upload. Do not upload content you don't have the right to publish.

Purchases

A book build is a one-time purchase that unlocks the finished files for that title plus 30 days of unlimited rebuilds of the same manuscript. Extra editions, the Launch kit, and the Reader's report are separate one-time purchases. Prices are shown before checkout; payment is processed by Stripe, and we never see your card details. Our refund terms are in the refund policy, including the KDP-acceptance guarantee.

What we promise, and what we can't

The preflight report reflects checks against KDP's requirements as published at build time. If KDP rejects a file we certified, our guarantee applies (see the refund policy). We cannot promise your book will sell, be approved for merchandising programs, or that Amazon won't change its requirements after your build; KDP's own decisions are Amazon's, not ours.

Fair use of the service

Free previews and rebuilds exist to let you get your own book right, and are rate-limited to keep the service available to everyone. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, probe other users' books, resell access, or automate bulk usage without our written agreement.

Accounts

You can use Typesheep without an account: your browser keeps track of your books. Signing in with an email link lets you reach the same books from other devices. You're responsible for access to your own email inbox; anyone who can read your email can use your sign-in links.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the purchase the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. We may suspend service for abuse of these terms. You can stop using Typesheep at any time and may request deletion of your uploaded manuscripts (see the privacy policy).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you buy as a consumer, mandatory consumer protections of your own country still apply to you.
